We successfully defended a foreign citizen who was charged with passport forgery
A foreign citizen was charged in Lithuania under Article 300(2) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania – for forgery of a passport and its use in order to enter Lithuania. The attorneys of our law firm managed to defend the foreigner from criminal liability, arguing that the foreigner provided assistance to the Ukrainian army, thus opposing the regime of the Russian Federation, which could have put him in danger, and he acquired and kept a fake passport of a Russian citizen in order to leave Russia and eliminate the danger to his life and health.
On 25/06/2025, the verdict of the Alytus District Court came into force, by which the criminal case against our client was terminated, after the court recognized that the passport was forged due to a situation of necessity.
